BARBERA D’ALBA BRICCO
DEL CUCULO DOC

The Bricco del Cuculo vineyard lies at the top of a hill in the Faset cru. The name - meaning “cuckoo hill” - derives from the number of this species of bird which populate the wooded ravines around the hill, and from the Pan del Cuculo, a characteristic wild flower that coats the hill on the arrival of spring.
The first planting of Barbera vines here dates back to the end of the 1940s, while the remainder are from 1961. The lie of the land caters for perfect exposure to the sun from the dawn to dusk.
The tufa-rich white soil, the age of the vines, the perfect position and a limited yield make this Barbera quite unique.
